MAYOR WATTS CALLS FOR PORT ACTION

Mayor Dianne Watts and the Surrey First team are calling on Port Metro Vancouver to approve a minimum of an additional 1.3 meters in dredging in the Fraser River, which will result in over 1,300 jobs and hundreds of millions of dollars of economic activity.

Watts furious at rapist’s release into Surrey halfway house

SURREY (NEWS1130) – Surrey Mayor Dianne Watts is outraged a convicted sex offender known as the Falconridge Rapist is being released into a halfway house in her community.

Andrew Aurie Jefferson was convicted for attacking three women in Calgary back in 2006.

Surrey RCMP Cpl. Drew Grainger says Jefferson is considered a high risk to re-offend.

Surrey First Outraged Over Release of Convicted Sex Offender

Surrey, B.C.: On the heels of an RCMP warning regarding a convicted sex offender in  Surrey, Surrey First is calling on the federal government to give tougher sentences and  conditions to repeat, high-risk, sex offenders.

SURREY (NEWS1130) – She’s one of the most popular politicians in BC and a recent poll gave Dianne Watts a 68 per cent approval rating; that’s the fourth-highest for city mayors across Canada.

Endorsements continue as vote day looms in Surrey

SURREY – Surrey First has received several endorsements over the last week, and some members of the team have done some endorsing of their own.
